Up above the earth is

where the moon lies in the sky

Day is slowly leaving

Nearing twilight

Stars are bright

The moon it looks so perfect

Shining brightly, never dies

And the light it reaches down

Upon my eyes

I look back on life

And the tales of time gone by

And the stories I once lived

Are left inside

But there, always a dark side

On the farthest, highest peak

And there upon the surface,

I float and jump

Across the seas

The face I show the world

Is the one I want to be

Its the one I wish I had

Inside of me

The dark side of the moon

that the world will never see

Cos they only see the light

That shines from me

And though I will travel

Through the journey of my life

Dark within a shadow

Can’t exist without the light

I can’t leave the dark

Cos the dark is part of me

And its there for everyone

Just have to let it be

Exist with both those parts

Cause they are part of you

Its what makes you who you are

It is the perfect truth

But there, always a dark side
