How Grundfos, the world’s largest pump manufacturer uses VR to onboard employees

FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:

Grundfos, the world’s largest pump manufacturer, are taking their onboarding to a whole new level with the help of virtual reality!

To make it easier for employees from around the world better understand how their pumps work in the real world, they created a virtual classroom and used 3D models, photos and videos to give employees a better and faster way to learn.

They even visited a virtual copy of a water treatment plant, saw 3D scans of nearby facilities and used 360 image bubbles to see the plant in real life.

Workers were given a guided tour of the plant so they could see their pumps in action, all without having to be there in person.

Using virtual reality to teach employees how Grundfos gets water from ground to homes used to be a theoretical, one-way experience that required employees to travel. With VR, Grundfos is now able to give employees an unforgettable experience that accelerates learning no matter where they are. Because in VR, you can be present like never before!
