The setting functioned comedically in the film with the runway scene and then later, Rosaline’s struggle to get back to Macy’s to find her sneakers. The runway scene is a funny, corny image of what’s going on in Rosaline’s head and

The high heels were the main prop in this video. It activated the narrative of the video because they are what caused Rosaline to act excited, show off her runway model dream, and walk in a funny fashion back to the Macy’s.

Rosaline’s dress was the costume shown in the film. From her transformation from a sweater to a model dress, it displays Rosaline’s imagination of what she would look like as a model. Plus, the dress is a fun component to the comedic premise because most people on the streets, do not wear a sparkly and flashy outfit.

Lighting was meaningfully used throughout to indicate when Rosaline is in reality and when she is immersed in her imagination as a model and fancy heels. There’s a specific comedic moment where Rosaline realizes walking on the street, that she forgot her sneakers in the store. The lighting goes from pink to a more yellow, gray tone to display her snap back into reality and soon, trouble to get back to Macy’s.

The style of the performance in this video was to impersonate the classic, girly-girly, shopaholic who thinks that everything she buys, and wears can make her fashionable and model/celebrity like.
