As the state of the pandemic continues to change, it reinforces the notion that this recovery was never going to be linear. In Charlotte, we have seen the leisure travel market recover much faster. Since Memorial Day weekend, Charlotte has seen three Saturday nights top 25,000 rooms sold, including Memorial Day weekend, which topped 26,000 and set a single-night demand record. To date, it is likely that corporate travel recovery will be delayed. As businesses delay their return to office plans, similar uncertainty increased for business travel recovery, according to the latest poll by the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA).
