Synopsis:

Ce court métrage propose un voyage onirique dans l’exposition Glass and Bone Sculptures 1977-2017, de Jan Fabre, à la 57e Biennale d’art de Venise. Une « spectatrice zéro » entre dans une abbaye déserte au plein cœur de la ville de Venise, où elle découvre des sculptures et des installations faites uniquement en deux matériaux : du verre et des os. À travers son regard, les spectateur·ice·s voyagent entre mort et métamorphose, en côtoyant la pensée d’un des artistes les plus influents des dernières décennies, pour lequel art, science et religion se mélangent : Jan Fabre.

This short film proposes an oneiric voyage through the 57th International Art Exhibition in Venice, where we visit the Glass and Bone Sculptures 1977-2017 exhibit by Jan Fabre. Spectator Zero enters a deserted abbey at the heart of Venice, where she discovers sculptures and installations made from only two types of materials: glass and bone. Through her gaze, the spectators travel between death and metamorphosis, sharing the thoughts of one of the most influential artists of the last decades, for whom art, science, and religion are interwoven : Jan Fabre.
