FESCHTV – Eurovision This Month – September 2021

Eurovision This Month – September 2021 & FESCH.TV:

Hello Europe! Welcome to Eurovision This Month: August 2021.

September marks the start of a new Eurovision season! Songs released between now and March are eligible for Italy 2022. Broadcasters are already making selection plans so bookmark the national final calendar on Eurovision.tv.

The first Eurovision 2022 act has been revealed. Jérémie Makiese will represent Belgium in Italy. The 21 year old won ‘The Voice Belgique’ in January but before turning his attention to singing Jérémie was snapped up by Excelsior Virton to play in goal. Clearly, broadcaster RTBF thinks he’s a keeper!

Thanks to the BBC, #EurovisionAgain revisited 1968. The Contest took place in London at the height of the swingin’ sixties, which might explain the Austin Powers vibes! ‘Congratulations’ were reserved for Spain’s Massiel and her winning song ‘La, La, La’. You can rewatch this classic show on our YouTube channel until 16 October.

19 countries will compete in the 19th Junior Eurovision Song Contest, including Georgia, the most successful Junior Eurovision nation, 2020 debutants Germany and Netherlands – who have competed at every Contest since 2003! The hopefuls will head to Paris for Sunday 19 December.
