Fashion Forward with Jeff Berlin: Pro Tips for Directing Models on Set | Hosted by Sony

Shooting fashion is a learned skill, one that can take a minute, or three, to really feel at home on set. From directing models to interacting with clients and your creative team, all while having the confidence to know you’re successfully executing the project for which you’ve been hired, being the ringleader on a shoot with so many moving parts takes practice and experience.

So how does one stack the deck in their favor? Preparation, for one, is key to having a successful shoot, but even with all the preparation in the world, it’s still very possible to choke under the pressure on set, with real money and time on the line.

Through the years, Jeff Berlin has shot for top fashion magazines and brands like Vogue Italia, L’Oreal, British Elle, Estée Lauder, Esquire, Bloomingdale’s, Miss Vogue, Macy’s, Vogue Pelle, Madame Figaro, Wella and many others. In this presentation, Jeff will discuss some of the lessons he’s learned along the way, and share some tips for working on set to ensure everyone has a good experience where you, and the client, get the photos you need.
