Prior to moving to Pittsburgh, Karina founded the MidAtlantic office of NelsonNygaard Consulting Associates after serving as the Director of Transportation Planning for the City of Washington, DC. A Fulbright Scholar and Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, Karina now resides in Pittsburgh with her husband and two children. She has recently been named to serve in the Federal Transportation Authority.
