FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:

The Galapagos is not just one trip among many others, it is the trip of a lifetime, a dream for many.
The archipelago is a spectacular destination, both for these landscapes and for its fauna and flora. Life teems everywhere, in the air, on land and underwater.
Uniquely located on both sides of the equator, these wondrous islands rise up in the middle of the Pacific 900 kilometers west of mainland Ecuador.
Made famous by the animal studies and observations of Charles Darwin, father of the theory of evolution, the archipelago is made up of 21 islands.
The main islands, Santa Cruz, Isabela, Fernandina, San Cristobal, Santiago and Floreana are stops rich in discoveries.
Animals are present everywhere and coexist with humans, it is not uncommon to sit on a bench next to a sea lion.
If you like scuba diving or snorkeling, the Galapagos will enchant you with the richness of its aquatic biodiversity: Marine iguanas, turtles, hammerhead sharks, eagle rays, Mola Mola,
Galapagos sharks, whale sharks, huge schools of fish and so many other pelagics. The most legendary dive sites are of course Darwin and Wolf, Gordon Rocks, Kickers Rocks, Cape Marshall,
Punta Vincente Roca, Cousin’s Rock, North Seymour, Mosquera, Devil’s Crown and Pitt Point
On land, breathtaking volcanic landscapes teem with endemic species : penguins, fur seals, land iguana, Galapagos Hawk; Lava Lizard, Giant Tortoise…there are more than 40,000
and most importantly, only 3% of the surface of the archipelago is inhabited by man, which makes it a place where nature remains intact.
But curiously the different species are not afraid of humans, which makes it possible to approach them very very closely, sometimes only a couple of meters away.
During this extraordinary journey through the Galapagos National Park and Marine Reserve, take the opportunity to take a naturalist cruise or a diving cruise.
The advantage of the naturalist liveaboard is that it offers you the possibility of exploring the lands and the fauna of the most inaccessible islands,
while having the opportunity to snorkel between penguins, sea lions, turtles.
A unique travel experience in an untouched ecosystem
If you want to have a taste of all these marvels I recommend the BBC documentary series presented by David Attenborough, It’s not very recent but it’s worth watching.

Many thanks to Kerly and her family. If you are looking for a great affordable hotel in San Cristobal, this is it!
