EXCERPT THE WINNOWER [A PROPLOGUE]

This is a filmic and sculptural research project exploring fragments of African diasporic lives through the metaphor of a winnower and the poetics of a visual diary of chance encounters.

It is geographically sensitive in terms of its ongoing field research in Uganda, France, USA and the Netherlands. In its travel, the project seeks to make relations with various bodies while exploring the slippery ways in which personal and collective histories are invoked, erased and re-contextualised.
