Denver Arts & Venues Cultural Runway Series: PRIDE – FESCH.TV

On June 11, 2022, Denver Arts & Venues continued the Cultural Fashion Runway Series with PRIDE at McNichols Civic Center Building. The second runway event in the series was connected thematically to the first floor exhibitions celebrating PRIDE month. These exhibitions included fashion designs from DCR Studios entitled “DCR Studios & DeMarcio: Creating the Glamor on Center Stage at Denver PRIDE,” and “In Sickness and In Health,” a mixed media installation exploring the intersection of disability and queer. Local fan favorite, DeMarcio Slaughter, emceed the runway show which included glamorous drag fashions by DCR studios, and stylish pieces from their ready-to-wear designs created with gender fluidity, size inclusivity and cultural diversity in mind. The evening included spectacular guest performances by RuPaul Drag Race All Stars contestants: Yara Sofia and Mayhem Miller.
