Dee Decarbonization: Reforing Governance – FESCH.TV

FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:

July 2019 A one-hour webinar, with the basic message that the „Green New Deal“ is already underway — just from the bottom-up, in a nonpartisan fashion (which is why it isn’t reported on or viewed clearly by many stakeholders focused on the Federal debate).

I interviewed a range of utilities, thought leaders, community organizers and academics — and included their work and contact information in download that accompanied the webinar.

The webinar progresses through: polling data showing how an overwhelming majority of Americans support these local initiatives, how local governments and regional affiliations thereof across ~40 states are being proactive about implementation, how leading Investor Owned utilities across ~13 states are pivoting strategically in response by expanding community partnerships, how the California Community Choice industry has a lot of lessons-learned and best-practices to offer the industry, and how the emerging „Advanced Community Energy“ framework in California might actually be a replicable model that other states should consider adapting and adopting.

Turns out, we have the right culture and the right form of government to do this — and that’s why it is starting to happen, everywhere!
