FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:

This work has the task of combining randomness with thought. The idea of conceiving the work stems from the artist’s usual encounter with the situation of travel, mostly when he passes through a non-place such as the railway station, the nerve center of connections, where time plays a fundamental role. In a moment of waiting, the artist encounters the vision of a glitched clock going much faster than ordinary time, whose hands complete a twelve-hour circle in just three minutes. One of the artist’s wishes is to create a non-dynamic space with this work, a space where the time of the depicted place is different from the real one, making the place become a non-existent entity, related only to an inner world, in addition to make the viewer reflect on the true value that time has on us and how much it weighs on our lives.
Even the medium is chosen in relation to the moment in which this video was shot, which is played on loop mode on a smartphone, an object that we are in close contact with in everyday life to rely on the measurement of time when we need it: stopwatches , timers, alarms …
The title makes a clear reference to Christian Marclay, an artist in whom this theme is already recurring, to whom Duccio Guarneri was freely inspired.
