„Daydream is a hypnotic visual dance film where the monotony of life gives way to the imagination. Clinging to our daily life, we turn in circles in a routine that becomes a prison. Imagination becomes the only escape that allows us to travel and free ourselves from a world that is not free.“

„The film was shot in France in a mussel park and in a building in the process of being demolished, to music by the artists CocoRosie “Candyland“. These places symbolize two prisons. That of reality and that of dreams.“

„Imprisoned by society, our tormented heroine, embodied by the dancer Yvonne Smink, revolves on a dance pole that serves as a crutch but also as a bridge between her reality and her moments of escape.“

„At first, rocked by the waves of the illusion, she ends up freeing herself to live her dreams and not to dream her life.“
