I’m sure we’ve all been called a dork for liking science fiction, but its influence on the world is undeniable— from expanding our imagination, to shaping our future, all the way to entertaining movies and television.

Whether it be aliens, mutants, space travel, fictional worlds, or parallel universes, science fiction has been a beloved genre since George Tucker’s novel, The Voyage to the Moon. It’s speculative nature has given humankind a place to wrestle with the future and our place in it.
