DAVID KOMA RESORT 22 | Behind The Scenes – FESCH.TV

FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:

In the age of renewed optimism sweeping the globe, one can’t help but crave clothes that channel just that — a feeling of celebration. For Resort 2022, David Koma found himself envisioning a place of liberation, glamour, and disco. Inspired by the female icons of the 1970s, an era where freedom was often expressed through fashion, the collection captures the joie de vivre of dressing-up.
The vibrant tones of the collection hark back to much-missed revelrous parties: watching the sun sink into the horizon and staying up until the early hours to welcome the first rays. Sumptuous marigold orange, vibrant daffodil yellow and soft lavender purple sit between the hedonistic nightscape and nature at dawn. Representing new beginnings and growth, iridescent 3D crystal plumeria flowers are playfully embroidered onto clothing and appear as accessories.
For Resort 2022, Koma continues the use his signature juxtaposition of contemporary sportswear and opulent evening wear to create a modern offering. For the Koma Girl, this collection signifies ‘re-emergence‘ — she is feeling empowered and ready for new adventures.
