Dance of the Golden Thread (Recorded Fragment) & FESCH.TV:

Dance of the Golden Threads is a generative audio-visual installation that pays an ode to the artefacts with golden brocades and embroideries from the Nusantara region found in the Fashion & Textiles Gallery of the Asian Civilisations Museum. This screen-based presentation creates patterns that sway and swivel to a composition system that generates tones and textures within a slendro scale, an essential tuning system used in gamelan music. A continuous piece that is constantly generating new alternations of signs and sounds. The meandering sonic modulations and visual ornamentations seem familiar from cycle to cycle, they are however, never the same.
