Couplestrong Micro Date Challenge Day 4

FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:

Day 4

When you wake up, hold hands for 5-10 minutes and tell your partner why you love them. Entire neuro-science careers have been built around the benefits of holding hands. It reduces blood pressure, lowers heart rate, releases endorphins, eases pain, syncs brainwaves, helps to improve mood and lower depression. “Save a Life- Hold Hands”

Make breakfast together. Another fantastic way of turning toward your spouse which helps to enhance the friendship system which includes increasing the basis of trustworthiness in your relationship. Remember, it’s also teamwork. US against the world baby !!!

Kiss your partner as you leave for the day. “Save a life- Give a kiss.”

During your lunch hour email or text your partner 5-10 questions. The questions should be to learn more about them as a person. This is what Dr. John Gottman calls “Love Mapping” and it’s one of the things the “Masters of Relationship” do. It will help to enhance and grow your friendship.

Kiss your partner when you arrive home. “Save a life- Give a kiss.”

Set up a putt putt golf course in your house and have some fun. What a great way to unwind and have some fun together. It will help to relieve stress and create a positive environment for the evening. NO SCORE KEEPING – JUST HAVE FUN 

One hour prior to going to sleep turn off TV, computers and phones and spend some time discussing your dreams for retirement. This is part of what we call “Shared Meaning.” It’s another example of what Dr. John Gottman found. The idea is couples travel through time and space together. They create a joint lens that they bring meaning and purpose to the world they are traveling through together. It’s also a way they jointly interpret the world.
