daughter to Demeter, the Goddess of the earth and wife to Hades, God of the underworld. Come. Come with me on a walk through the woods. Come bask in the nourishment
of sunshine. Shiver in relentless gusts of rain. Startle at the prick of a rose’s thorn
Melt into the delicacy of its petals. Come. Come with me. Perhaps you find yourself in the dark, tangled woods full of painful brine. Not knowing what direction to go in or what dangers lie ahead. Perhaps in the midst of an orchard, surrounded by glistening, nourishing apples.
No matter what the woods hold you are not alone. I am here to walk beside you,
to bear witness to your hardships, and celebrate your victories. I serve as your guide
between the light and dark. My purpose is to carry you through both worlds.
My purpose is to remind you that moving through this dichotomy is necessary. .Light and shadow create depth in an image and complementary colors create vibrance.
Major and minor scales are needed to create a full soundscape. Conflict is needed to ignite a story and arrive at happily ever after. I am here to remind you that It is only by traveling from the earth, to the depths of the underworld, and back again, that one can discover
the breadth of the human experience. So, come. Travel through the woods with me.
