Cotsen Textile Traces Colloquiu: Tracing Wiener Werkstätte Textiles: A New Generation of Aerican Scholars – FESCH.TV

FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:

Cotsen Textile Traces Study Collection houses more than 300 Wiener Werkstätte textiles. The
Wiener Werkstätte, or Vienna Workshop (1903-1932), was a key participant in the development
of modernism, with its textile and fashion divisions and the establishment of branches in Berlin, New York, and Zurich.

This three-day virtual colloquium (April 21-23, 2022) brought specialists, young professionals,
and students together, presenting and discussing a range of topics about Wiener Werkstätte, including their preservation, global export, and positioning within modernist textile theory.
