Claire Daly is a first rate musician and educator who brings her thoughtfulness and soulfulness to all that she does. She’s very insightful, open and warm; and is the kind of guest artist who leaves behind something for everyone to think about and work on. Claire Daly has been a faculty member at Litchfield Jazz Camp for over two decades.
International jazz performer and Berkeley College of Music graduate,Claire studied with legends Joe Viola, John LaPorta, and more. She has taught privately in NYC and academically since 1986 from middle school through college level. She has taught at MIT, UMASS Amherst, Berklee Carroll MS in Brooklyn, NY; Valparaiso University, IN; Hall High School in Hartford, CT; College of St. Rose in Albany, NY; Chamber Street Music School in Manhattan, NY; Hoff Barthelson Music School, Scarsdale, NY; many more on request..and is available for gigs, clinics, workshops, and residencies.

Bruce Barth – Jazz pianist & composer

Originally from Pasadena, California, Barth started piano lessons at the age of five, with a natural tendency to play by ear. He fell in love with jazz as a teenager, and learned by listening, later studying at New England Conservatory in Boston. While in Boston, he recorded George Russell’s masterpiece, „The African Game“ for Blue Note Records..
Bruce has performed on over one hundred recordings and movie soundtracks, including ten as a leader. His trio has recorded live at the legendary Village Vanguard in New York City, and he recently released a new DVD, Live at Café del Teatre, on Quadrant, recorded live at the Lleida Jazz Festival in Catalunia.
His “Live at the Village Vanguard” CD was second on the national radio charts, and won international critical acclaim. Some of Barth’s recent appearances include trio performances at Village Vanguard, Jazz Standard, and Smoke in New York, several major European Festivals including San Sebastian, Stockholm, and Barcelona, and solo piano tours of Japan. His septet has played in several festivals, including Terrassa, Spain, and Braga, Portugal. He has performed with James Moody, Art Farmer, Phil Woods, Tony Bennett, Freddie Hubbard, Tom Harrell, Victor Lewis, John Patitucci, Lewis Nash, Vincent Herring, George Robert, Steve Wilson, Branford Marsalis, Wynton Marsalis, David Sanchez, Terell Stafford, Tim Armacost, Luciana Souza, Karrin Allyson, Dave Stryker, and the Mingus Big Band.

Marcus McLaurine – Bass & Composer

Marcus McLaurine, composer, leader and sideman, has become one of the most sought-after bassists in jazz. Sharing bandstands with Dizzy Gillespie, Kenny Burrell, James Moody, Lou Donaldson, Dame Cleo Laine, Joe Williams, Jon Hendricks, Abbey Lincoln, and the Count Basie Orchestra under the direction of Thad Jones, Marcus was a stalwart member of Clark Terry’s quintet, whose band he was with from 1981 until Terry’s passing.
Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Marcus studied music at the University of Nebraska, then moved to Los Angeles to further his musical ambitions. In 1976 Marcus entered the Air Force as a member of the 590th Air Force band and after his four-year stint in the military moved to New York City, where he has lived for the past 36 years. In addition to his work as a leader and first-call sideman, Marcus is focusing on his burgeoning career as a composer, writing both jazz and contemporary pieces.
Marcus has been an adjunct professor at William Paterson University for the past nineteen years. He teaches acoustic and electric bass, focusing on a broad repertoire including classic standards, bebop and more progressive styles to prepare his students to be able to compete on a professional level.

Peter Grant – Drummer
Peter was born and raised in New York City and studied at the Manhattan School of Music . Peter is a creative and versatile musician who has been in demand in the New York recording studios and clubs for 35 years . He has performed in venues  ranging from Carnegie Hall to the Blue Note to Royal Albert Hall , the Mount Fuji Jazz Festival in Japan , the Monterey Jazz Festival and the White House .
Peter has played on over 40 recordings with such artists as Gerry Mulligan , Peggy Lee , New York Voices , Harvie Swartz and Rodney Jones . Live performance credits include gigs with Astrud Gilberto , Peter Cincotti , Ben E. King , Dave Samuels and European tours with Bob Dorough and Linda Hopkins .
Peter is currently performing and recording with singer Tom Wopat and baritone sax player Claire Daly . He is on Wopats latest CD called I’ve Got Your Number and Dalys Cd entitled Baritone Monk . Upcoming gigs include April 3 at the Somethin Jazz club with the band Persons of Interest and July 11 and 12 at the Iridium jazz club with Tom Wopat.
