Charles Junior Brasher

Charles Junior Brasher, age 91, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 3:10 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.

Charlie was born January 16, 1931, in Lyon County, KY, to Charles Thomas and Carrie Belle (Travis) Brasher. He worked as a Supervisor in the Molding Department at Ball Plastics for many years before retiring in 1982, and was a member of First Southern Baptist Church. Charlie was a Veteran in the United States Marine Corps where he served as Private First Class with an occupational specialty in truck driving. He was privileged to travel on Honor Flight EVV #7 in 2017. Charlie was a simple man who loved life, drinking coffee with his buddies, and especially spending time with his family.

Charlie is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Beaman; son, Jeff Brasher (Michelle); and grandchildren, Zach Beaman (Stephanie), Abbie Beaman, Kyle Brasher (Kristin), and Megan Cravens (Jordan); 9 great grandchildren with one on the way; and several nieces and nephews.

Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Carrie Belle Brasher; beloved wife of 37 years, Patsy Ann (Williams) Brasher; and sisters, Joanne Meeks and Dorothy Duvall.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor David Cullison officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery where the American Legion Kapperman Post 44 will render full military rites.

Friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 22, 2022, and from 9:00 a.m. until service time, Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel.
