What happens after death? Does it turn into inorganic matter? Or does it exist formlessly? Last year, I went to Seda in Sichuan province in China and watched the whole Buddhist sky burial ceremony. Sky burial is feeding human corpses to vultures, using the human body as food to sustain living beings, which is similar to whale fall. After watching the sky burial ceremony, I have some complicated feelings, while a little bit of the specific form of death came to my mind for the first time. Two months later, my family took my beloved sister, a dog called Life, on a road trip. It’s weird that the happier I was on the way, the more I was afraid that the happiness would disappear because of death. Two months later, she passed away after I came to New York, I started to take her fuzz with me to travel, and I felt that she seemed to change into different forms after death, but on the other hand, I felt that it was just a spiritual comfort that I gave to myself. Maybe after death, she just became an inorganic substance.
