Designed during lockdown, the Black Cow Picnic Bottle Cooler is the result of a collaboration between Black Cow, the World’s Smoothest Vodka, and Bill Amberg, one of the most respected names in contemporary British leathercraft.

Made with textured, natural wool-felt and vegetable-tanned leather with Black Cow detailing, the cooler is designed to hold a bottle of Black Cow and a small truckle of Black Cow Deluxe Cheddar.

The materials used to make the carrier were chosen for their durable and functional properties, as well as their sustainable qualities. The wool-felt is made using waste wool from the fashion industry. It is a natural insulator, keeping things either hot or cold by absorbing the moisture in the air. This particular leather, a calf skin used for lining shoes, is a remnant from shoe-making industry. It ages beautifully, subtly patinating and changing character over time.
