Best cube on the market!

Many people may see the price tag and say, „Is this cube worth $60?“ After hundreds of solves with this puzzle, I can safely answer yes. This is my new main and is the best cube I have ever tried by a mile, and I believe GAN has created the ultimate main killer.

The puzzle comes in a very nice box along with an excellent bag for carrying the cube, the adjustment tool and extra blue nuts, and extra center caps that make the GAN XS compatible with the GAN Robot. The actual case for the cube is a bit hard to open, but does an amazing job displaying the puzzle.

Right out of the box, the first thing you notice is its weight. This cube is feather light, and this is honestly one of my favorite the GAN XS. The weight reduction is due in part to the all-plastic core which works very nicely with the internal mechanism, which has the classic GAN honeycomb design for that classic smooth GAN feel. It has a matte finish that polishes over time.

Out of the box, the cube is fast and controllable, but it had relatively poor corner cutting before setup. Thankfully, setup is very simple and fun on the the GAN XS! The duel elasticity system makes sure tensions are even on all sides and it is very easy to find settings that work for you. The customization system allows for a wide field of settings and it does its job in making sure every cuber can use this cube. You can adjust the center piece travel with the blue nut, the spring compression with the clear nut, and the magnet strength by sliding the magnets on the edge pieces.

I broke the cube in by leaving the stock lube in the puzzle, setting the blue nut at setting 3, and setting the clear nut to the 3rd click from the loosest setting. I also tried the magnet strengths and found that medium works best for me. After I broke it in, I lubed the core and nuts with Cubicle Weight 5, and I lubed the pieces with Cubicle Weight 5 on the tracks and DNM-37 on the pieces. I also adjusted the clear nut to setting 4 after lubrication.

After setup, the corner cutting is amazing! It cuts 45 no problem and can reverse corner a little more than a full cubie! It is fast yet controllable and stable, and it can be adjusted to be very flexible or inflexible with ease. The turning is also very quiet, which is awesome for cubing in public.

Overall, this cube is the definition of a main killer. It is so customizable that its amazing performance can suit any cuber.
