When you create somebody, you impose all the risks of life on them! BabyMaybe is an interactive project incorporating audio, photography, video, and installation that explores the personal and complex stories of women and their relationship to parenting across age and time. A experimental film will layer in fictionalized elements with a live soundtrack along with a courtyard installation incorporating The Word On the Street by artist Scott Froschaeur, projections…. and much more to explore. She has spent the last year personally experimenting with bringing these dolls into various settings, including international travel to Japan, Morocco, Cyprus and the UK and here in Los Angeles. This exhibition is the project’s launch and initial public inquiry into these outward expressions of inner experiences and ideas across cultures and settings.
