Anthroowaste – Redesigning the waste strea journey – FESCH.TV

FESCH.TV INFORMIERT:

ANTHROPOWASTE is taking a deep dive in implementing a circular economy model around fabric waste, celebrating waste as a powerful resource, and not simply a by-product.
This project addresses social sustainability in drawing inspiration from the culture and hard work of the often marginalized, amplifying their voices through honoring the ancient craft of weaving through a selection of sample garments that showcase the techniques developed through the duration of the research.
Sofia’s „Anthropowaste“ showcases a systematic approach to fabric waste, consisting of a small library of materials developed from textile waste, a selection of garments built from pre-consumer fabric by-product and implemented loom weaving techniques, as well as the custom looms made by the designer from discarded wooden materials. All the textiles featured in this graduate collection are designed to implement ancient textile methods using 100% textile waste in collaboration with Danish fashion Designer Henrik Vibskov’s studio.
