Over 2 double bills of 90s cult films, we trace the journey of one Hollywood princess from heroin chic & bisexuality, to hetero-matrimony & transracial adoption. Day 2 is all about glamour, tragedy, excess, nudity. This is Gia, Interrupted.

You might know Gia from being the lesbian film with Angelina Jolie in, sold on DVD in the back pages of Diva, and screenshotted all over the place, but it’s an underrated film, both gritty and fluffy, fun and fated. Much like the model Gia Carangi herself. And indeed like Jolie’s place in sapphic hearts around the world.

The final film of our festival, Girl, Interrupted, won the brother-snogging Jolie an Oscar, and features an almost unbelievable cast of stars: Whoopi Goldberg to Vanessa Redgrave, an early Elizabeth Moss, and the late great Brittany Murphy.
