Kalimera! Welcome to the first instalment in our Aegean adventure. I never really considered Thessaloniki a must-see travel destination. That was before I spent the weekend there and found myself thoroughly taken by the place.

Equal parts ugly and uniquely beautiful, peek beyond the concrete tower blocks and discover a city rich in history, culture and cuisine. From ancient Byzantine architecture to alleys layered with street art, join Kat, Nat, John and I as we explore this gritty gateway to the Mediterranean.
