Adult Summer Reading is going on a Virtual Road Trip in 2021! On Tuesday, June 29, 2021, we kicked things off with Barrett Bookstore in an evening with Maggie Shipstead, the bestselling author of Great Circle, Astonish Me, and Seating Arrangements.

About Maggie Shipstead
Maggie Shipstead is the New York Times–bestselling author of the novels Great Circle, Astonish Me, and Seating Arrangements, which won the Dylan Thomas Prize and the L.A. Times Book Prize for First Fiction. She is a graduate of Harvard and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, a former Wallace Stegner Fellow at Stanford, and the recipient of a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. A frequent contributor to travel magazines, she is often away from her home in Los Angeles.

Summer Reading is the ultimate escape and we invite all of our adult patrons to join us for a „Literary Road Trip“ with reading challenges, prizes, and special events throughout the summer. Patrons can play online or pick up a game card at the Library’s Welcome Desk. Registration is not required, and patrons can play as many times as they want.
