0002 – Medellin, Colombia

While the cities in Colombia have been barricading the police with their breaths, everything still lays out on the horizon, living, livid and uncertain. Our choices for community will have to regenerate, and Colombian people know how to keep their heads up.

Watching the city everyday while driving with my dad in the car I’d see the amounts of will in every corner.

These are Medellin’s streets in a slow-motion jolt, capturing scenes of daily work, lively industrial areas, street language and Colombian ingeniosity.

The track was created from tape recordings on one night of desolation with Mateo @lowtapee containing industrial street echoes, loud salsa from local joints, young skaters, metal thuds and radio voices in all of Medellin’s raw midnight glory, fitting the presence of the footage made during the days of my travel.
