故事大綱:
時裝攝影師WILL ，十三年前 因母親離世 留下他一人在屋裡生活。
有天，他將其中一房間 給旅客租住。
從而 認識旅客孫亭，‭ ‬
孫亭的出現 令WILL 憶起對母親過往的種種片段⋯⋯

Synopsis ：
A young fashion photographer left reclusive because of his mother’s death, has rented a room to a young actress-to-be as his temporary lodger. Her presence in his house has somehow rekindled long lost memories of his beloved mom.

Director Statement:
In the Midst of the Ocean began its life as another story. It started as a screenplay called Summer Breeze, which was about the main character returning to his old hometown which he left behind after a tragic loss 13 years ago. However, I decided now was not the right time to make it, and so I developed another script which became this film.

Although the stories are different, it still revolved around the protagonist dealing with the loss of his mother, which still lingers in his life.

The film has elements of reincarnation, because I believe that people always come back in different ways. The idea of it is fascinating to me. I want to explore the idea of existence and loss, not in a pessimistic way, rather more hopefully and romantically.
