Our brothers and sisters had hope for better life. They believed that the flight to Minsk will open their path to the EU and better future. They’ve never thought that they would be deceived, left to themselves and that their life would be in danger in every step of the way.

Thounsands of people believed that the journey would be easy – after arrival to Minsk they were supposed to reach the border of Lithuania, Latvia and Poland and from there go straight to Germany. At least this is what they were promised by travel agencies and people who were supposed to help them to get to the better reality.

Crossing the border between Belarus and Lithuania, Latvia and Poland is not just a formality! The borders are strictly guarded, surrounded by fences and spiked wires. Belarus is not a part of the EU or the Schengen zone, which enables unrestrained movement of people. Belarussian authorities along with so called „travel agencies“ deceive you.

Ones arrested at the border with Lithuania, Latvia and Poland are put into places where there are shortages of everything. They camp in forests, then being sent back to Belarus. In the best possible scenario they are located in overcrowded camps for illegal migrants. They have no food, no drinks. They get ill without sufficient medicaments or a basic medical care. And soon it’s going to get worse. Winter is coming. Unhuman conditions such as extreme cold (-20 Celsius degrees), wind and snow which they inevitably are going to face will become a life threat.

Your dear Brothers and Sisters have been left alone, deceived and robbed by Belarussian authorities and local guards. Belarussian border guards use violence against the migrants – they beat them with bats and set dogs on them.

The flight to Minsk is not a pass to a better life. Belarus will mock your plans and deceive you. You will not reach your local final destination and on the way you will lose all your money and your life will be endangered. A path to the EU doesn’t lead through Belarus. Do not let cheaters decide upon your life and make them rich from your dreams of a better tomorrow.
